Take a Bite of the Big Apple

There are few cities in the world more famous than New York – come on, who hasn’t dreamed of visiting this huge, vibrant, and seriously energetic city at least once in their lives? Whether you want to visit as part of a larger trip to other US destinations, or whether you want to head off on a shopping expedition for a long weekend, New York has more than enough to keep everyone occupied, and it’s impossible to see and do everything during one trip.

We can’t deny that New York is not the cheapest city on earth, but if you can be a little clever with how you book your travel and then look for deals on attractions, there’s no reason why you can’t save a little here and there, which you can put to great use when you visit the New York shopping outlets!

New York City is made up of five main boroughs, and these are perhaps some of the most famous names in the world – Manhattan Island, The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island. Manhattan is without a doubt the most well-known, and most famous, and its here you will find more in the way of attractions in one space than probably anywhere else on the globe! Think Times Square, Central Park, the Empire State Building, and the One World Observatory, to name just a few.

The New York skyline is one of the most iconic on the planet, and when you are in the centre of the city, you will constantly be looking up, surrounded by soaring skyscrapers, moving billboards, and yellow taxis. This is the view most people think of when they picture New York, often through films and TV programmes they have seen before; the chance to visit it for yourself is something you should grab with both hands.

We mentioned that there’s enough to keep everyone occupied, and that’s certainly true. If you love shopping then you’re probably going to find enough to fill your entire stay, and a visit to Bloomingdales is a definite must do! If you love museums, you could dedicate your visit to touring the city’s many museums and galleries, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, affectionately known as The Met, The Guggenheim, the American Museum of Natural History, and the city’s oldest museum, the New York Historical Society – this is literally just a handful of the museums you can visit in New York.

If you want to check out city wildlife, then head to The Bronx Zoo, walk the famous Brooklyn Bridge if you want sights to make your jaw drop, or jump on the Staten Island Ferry. If you want a slice of calm away from the city madness, then head to Coney Island and enjoy a family fun seaside destination, a stone’s throw from the hustle and bustle of Downtown.

Basically, New York can be anything you want it to be, because the choice of attractions and activities is so varied. If you want to relax, head to a spa and then sip a few cocktails of an evening, and if you want to be busy, throw on some comfortable shoes and pound the pavements, exploring on your own steam.

New York is busy, it is brash, and it is crazy at times, but one thing is for sure, it is one of the most intoxicating cities on earth.
